THE STORY OF KARISSA
Karissa has always been an artist at heart. From the time she was a kid, she was constantly creating drawing, painting, and saying yes to any creative gig that came her way. Over the years, she explored it all: painting on jackets and bags, selling canvas work, making candles, freelancing, and chasing inspiration wherever it led.
Then, she discovered moss art.
What began as a calming side project while working a 9–5 quickly turned into something more. She didn’t expect much just a creative outlet that brought her peace. But people noticed. Orders picked up. And eventually, Karissa found herself running a full-time moss art business rooted in intention and creativity.
Today, she hand makes every Art Botanica piece from scratch cutting the wood, shaping the frames, and placing each patch of preserved moss by hand. Her work is raw, elegant, and built to last bringing the quiet beauty of nature into homes and spaces everywhere.
Art Botanica isn’t just a business. It’s Karissa’s way of sharing something real something made with heart with the world.

A note from Karissa
Hi and welcome
I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you. Whether you’ve stumbled across my work by chance or you’ve been following along for a while, I’m so grateful you’re here.
This business started small something I did out of love and passion for creating. Over time, with a lot of late nights, trial and error, and support from kind souls like you, it’s grown into something that still blows my mind every day.
Every piece I make is personal. It's built from scratch, made with care, and shipped out with excitement because I know it’s going somewhere special: your home, your business, your story.
Your support means more than just a sale. It means I get to keep doing what I love. It means my art lives on in places I may never see, but feel deeply connected to.
So whether you're browsing, buying, or just curious thank you for being part of this journey. You help make it all possible, and I’ll never take that for granted.
With so much love and gratitude,
Karissa! xxx
